Several quality events in Austin this week:
On Wednesday April 27th New Belgian is taking over the taps at Draught House. Lauren Salazar will be on hand as Draught House pours some of the usual line up as well as Love, Super Cru and Somersault. You also get a free globe glass with each beer and free cheese samples to boot!
On Thursday April 28th Uncle Billy’s Barton Springs celebrates their anniversary from 4 to 8 pm with music and beer specials. http://www.unclebillysaustin.com/event_single.php?eid=15937
On Sunday May 1st the Texas Artisanal Beer Fundraiser (http://beerfundraiser.org/) will host a wide variety of both Texas microbreweries as well as brewpubs to benefit the YMCA. The list is extensive and it’s been a long time since someone has been able to get so many Texas breweries together in one place. There will also be live bands and food. Look for me at the Eola table as I help pour Mark’s beers. The suggested donation was recently lowered to $50 per person (you would spend a lot more than that in gas to get to a few of these brewpubs).
Looks like I picked another bad week to stop drinking…
